For a long time, I thought being rich meant numbers: dollars in the bank, a secure plan, success others could see. But life has taught me a softer truth.

Endings can feel like sudden storms — divorce, children leaving home, loss, or a quiet day of questioning. I’ve felt that storm. I’ve felt the fear, the heartbreak, and the hesitation to move forward.

Every ending is really an invitation to begin again. When my marriage ended, I didn’t see it that way. I saw emptiness, loss, and uncertainty. But over time, I discovered something extraordinary: endings create space for new beginnings.

Life has a way of knocking us flat. Divorce was my fall—it shattered my confidence, my plans, and my sense of who I was. For a while, I lived in survival mode, convinced the best of life was behind me.

I used to measure my worth by numbers. The size of my paycheck, the safety of my savings, the appearance of success. That was my definition of being “rich.”

When life hands you an ending, it’s natural to feel fear. I’ve been there. After my marriage ended, I was left with an empty space that felt unbearable. But here’s the shift: a blank page is not the end of your story —
