Celebrating the 4th Anniversary of My Book “STRONG WOMEN FINISH RICH”

My book's story


Everyone knows that writing and publishing a book is no small act. The story behind the birth of my book is as unique and special as the book itself.


Four years ago, my book “STRONG WOMEN FINISH RICH - A Powerful Plan to Live an Extraordinary Life” was published. It was a Friday afternoon when Helen, my editor, and I finished the last revision of the book. The sense of achievement and joy was immense. I was ready to celebrate, BUT…


That evening, COVID-19 was declared a pandemic in Australia. All my plans and dreams suddenly vanished amidst the constant news about the pandemic. Australia was in turmoil, and my book took a back seat.


Talking to my daughter and son about my book, they advised me to put it aside for the time being and wait to see what the future held. And so I did.


After a few days of being consumed by the constant news about COVID-19, thoughts about the future of my book started to dominate my mind. A flash of clarity came to me, and I knew I did not want my book  “STRONG WOMEN FINISH RICH” manuscript to remain a pile of papers in a drawer. I decided to go ahead and publish it.


I still had to design the book. I had already designed the cover page, but I needed to create the internal design, which I decided to do myself. I researched other books in similar categories and chose different design ideas to present my book in the best possible format. I carefully selected the right font and font size for easy reading, ensuring that my readers could focus on the book's ideas without any distractions.


Within a few days, the book was designed and ready for submission for printing on Amazon. With great joy and a sense of accomplishment, my book “STRONG WOMEN FINISH RICH” was accepted by Amazon. The first edition was ready in April 2020!


The book was published amidst the chaos of the COVID-19 pandemic when Amazon wasn’t delivering books to Australia. The book was printed and delivered by Amazon in parts of Europe and the U.S., but no printers in Australia were operating.


Finally, I saw and touched the first printed book! At the end of June 2020, my dear friend Oren came to the rescue, bringing me my first printed copy all the way from England. It was a special day, a day of celebration to see the book as a finished product.


But still, I couldn’t sell my book in Australia. COVID-19's daily updates were consuming everyone. Most people were in a state of worry, fear, and uncertainty.


After receiving the first actual book “STRONG WOMEN FINISH RICH” , I had to make a few changes to the internal design and republished the book on 15/7/2020, a very significant date for me – exactly 45 years to the day of my arrival in Australia.


The book launch had to wait until September 2020, when book printing in Australia resumed.
