No one is happy 100% of the time. Life has its ups and downs but there are ways to increase your happiness.
1. Don't wait to see if you are having a good time, but decide in advance to have fun regardless of the circumstances. Enjoy everything you do. Enjoy each day regardless of the weather. Make the most of every occasion regardless of the company.
2. Go outside and play: go for walks, play fetch with a dog, skip, sing loudly, or just look at the stars. Promise yourself to play more.
3. Develop deep friendships. Your friends are your true wealth, value them and see them regularly. Let them know how important they are to you.
4. Stay close to your family. Keeping in close contact with your family gives you a support base for happy or difficult times. Feeling a part of your family is a powerful way of being happy.
5. Find and follow your passions. Dream big and promise yourself you will live a wonderful life.
6. Laugh more. Find situations that make you laugh whether it is through people, shows, books or films, and surround yourself with them.
7. Volunteer and help others. Enjoy giving as you will gain much more in the process.
8. Smile to yourself and at others. When you smile, the whole world smiles with you.
9. Love what you do and do what you love!
